Loki the God of Mischief

Thor 2011 had one thing which differs glaringly from the legend Laufey is Loki's father in the movie when legend calls Laufey a giantess and Loki's Mother but it doesn't spoil the movie. Loki of legend could change his form and his gender so why can't his mother? Incidentally Odin's 8 legged horse was one of Loki's children from when he did a gender and shape shift in a mare according to legend.  A funny point of note is the true identity of the lady warrior Sif in legend she is none other than Thor's wife who Loki claimed he seduced but that's legend not the movie. Legend says Loki was handsome and he liked the goddesses of Asgard and they liked him. He was Odin's blood brother in the legends. He was conceived when his giant father struck his mother giantess Laufey(whose name means "wooded Isle") with a lightening bolt out of the flames of the burning giantess came Loki.
